The Number One Reason To See An Allergist This Time Of Year

A photograph of a woman suffering from allergies blowing her nose, with trees in the background. When you hear of allergy season in Las Vegas, people often associate the traditional season March thru May of every year. In recent years our valley has experienced earlier and longer lasting allergy seasons.

Most people are not aware Las Vegas has a secondary allergy season from August thru October consisting of pollen allergy from grasses and weeds. Flu season also begins during this time, so the combination of viral infections and hay fever symptoms can make this time of year seem unbearable.

I strongly recommend the influenza vaccine and considering taking preventative medication during the next few months.

As always, I wish you well and good health.
